DIY banana/avocado hair mask

Ingredients:
1 banana
1 half of an avocado
3 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil

Instructions:
1. In a bowl smash the banana and avocado together and add the 3 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil.

(The mixture is supposed to turn out looking very smooth and creamy. Make sure there are no chunks of banana and avocado in the mixture when you apply it to your hair.)

2. In the shower wash your hair with shampoo and instead of applying your regular conditioner apply the mask.
3. Clip hair up and leave the mask on for at least 30 minutes.
4. Rinse the mask off and conditioner hair with regular conditioner.

My experience:
I decided to make my own hair mask the other day because I noticed that my hair was looking very dry. I smashed a banana and an avocado together added olive oil and applied it to my hair. I didn't make sure that the mixture was smooth and creamy first. I applied the mixture with chunks of banana and avocado. Well, when I attempted to wash the mask off I had trouble. So make sure to mix the ingredients together with an electric beater or even a blender. After I washed it off and let it dry I did notice that my hair looked a bit more shiny and healthy.

HANA flat iron review/Straight sleek hair

How is everyone doing? Hope you are all having a great week! Thank you for all of the comments on my last post. I will be writing back very soon! A couple weeks ago Misikko.com sent me an amazing flat iron to test and review. They sent me the HANA Titanium 1.5" flat iron and some other goodies.

Why I love the HANA Titanium 1.5" Flat iron:
  • It heats up very quickly! The first day that I used it I was in a hurry and it only took a few seconds to heat up. I've had flat irons that take a while to heat up and it is very annoying.
  • It is very light weight and very easy to use. I used to have a big and chunky flat iron that drove me crazy.
  • I tend to feel very guilty when I flat iron my hair because I feel that it does so much damage to my hair. But after using this flat iron and running my fingers through my hair I just love how it makes my hair feel so soft.
  •  It comes with a travel pouch, heat proof silicone mat and a tin case. I love the travel pouch it totally comes in handy!
  • I did not have any problems with this product I will highly recommend it!

HANA Titanium Features: (from the website)

Hair tutorial: How to get pretty curls

1. Apply a heat protecting cream/oil to your hair.
2. Part your hair into different sections.
After parting, grab a small portion of hair from the bottom section.
3. Grab that small portion of hair around the barrel of the curling iron with your finger.
Be really CAREFUL don't burn your finger!
4. This is what the curl should look like.
Repeat this until you finish curling all of your hair.
5. When you finish curling all of your hair run your fingers through it
and apply a LITTLE hair spray.

After a while your curls should go down and start to look more like this:

Tips:

Before curling your hair wash and blow dry it. As you can see in my tutorial

pictures my hair looks a bit frizzy, because I did not blow dry it.

If you notice any frizziness in your hair even after you have curled it squeeze a

LITTLE bit of heat protecting cream/oil into your fingers and apply it to your curls.

If you have bleach in your hair you should always curl your hair on low heat.

Never curl your hair without applying a little bit of heat protecting cream/oil to your hair.

You can seriously damage your hair, I know from experience lol :(

Hope you guys liked my first tutorial!
